Colonization puts us in charge of a handful of people who, in search of new life opportunities, often fleeing from old Europe, have to struggle with an unknown world, populated by indigenous people never seen before, with customs, traditions and religions, to the fifteenth-century European, are nothing short of bizarre. Probably, there is no need to even report the potential of these games, they are very well known, and also very popular. This game, along with Civilization, was my first truly strategic level game. The game, partially similar to Sid Meier's Civilization - but improved in many aspects - is one the best turn strategy game of all time. The player has time until 1850 to reach independence. Sid Meier's Colonization is a strategy game themed on the European colonization of the New World, starting from the Discovery of America in 1492.
